Multi-tasking agents: Caution.

If you’re a multi-tasker who thinks it’s easy enough to navigate your way to a listing with buyer in tow, while responding to text messages and cell phone calls, check out these findings.

Recent  findings from the RAC Foundation shows that texting while driving actually impairs your reaction time more than DUI or marijuana.

Decreases to reaction time:

  • Texting (35%)
  • DUI (12%)
  • Marijuana (21%)

So, the next time you think about responding to that text message with your Buyer in the car, ask yourself if your insurance is current?

Will there by any upcoming laws against texting while driving? I think it’s silly that the only thing you can’t do is hold the phone up to your ear but everything else is game.

Check out this interesting real estate video by an artist called Cadence Weapon; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtLoi0PG-Zw

Yup. But currently it remains legislation for state governments to tackle. I understand California has SB 28 which was introduced in June to ban electronic text messaging while driving. There’s wide support in the California legislature and is expected to go into effect January 1, 2009.

Oh, I loved that video. :-) Is the performer a licensed agent, as well?
