3 Big Reasons Why You Need To Be Plugged Into Social Networking

Episode # 58: Coach Tom Ferry shares some insights on the do’s and don’ts of social networking.

I am the first to confess that when I first saw Twitter and a host of the other social networks that I just didn’t get it. Frankly people from around the world were inviting me to become their “friend”.

Maybe it’s just me but the word “friend” has great significance in my personal space and I don’t make friends easily. I have thousands of acquaintances however it takes a while before I let someone in close enough within my inner circle to be a friend.

Semantics aside I am finally taking an objective look at the Big 3 – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and stepping cautiously into the fray.

That being said I have been reaching out to top agents and gurus to help crack the code and get it right.

I had occasion to catch up with Tom Ferry recently who has been touring coast to coast preaching the social media gospel.

In this video interview Tom shares:

  • The BIG 3 reasons why you need to get involved
  • The basics of getting started
  • Classic mistakes to avoid
  • What Tom means by being “90% in the stream”
  • A great FREE must have tool to generate massive traffic to your web site
  • and much, much more.

I hope you enjoy this video and PLEASE be sure to leave your comments below.

All Good Wishes,

  • If you are trying to sell real estate, the most important thing that you can do with social media is use it as infrequently as possible. For every one person that closes a deal from social media, I will show you 1000 that do it another way.

I suppose a better response would be that I wish all agents in my market focused more time on social media. It would certainly increase my slice of the sales pie!
