8 Tips to Writing Good Web Copy

Often agents ask me the secrets to writing good articles or good web copy. These two are of course different mediums and require different attention. Neither am I convinced that my articles or copy is good enough to justify giving advice. With that said, I will try and answer the question by offering you the top 8 things I would suggest you take into consideration.

1.”"”" Titles should be snappy and informative.

  • Take your own advice! #6 is a sentence fragment, and right should not be used as an adverb. An appropriate revision is: Use correct spellings and proper grammar.
  • I would add unity and clarity to the list. By unity, I mean it's best to write about one thing at a time and stay on topic. This helps keep the copy clear. With the entire world one click away, readers online have little patience with fuzzy and meandering copy.
